Paul Bates, CRC®, CRPC®, RICP®
Regional Client Manager for Mid West Georgia As a registered representative for ACCG Retirement Services, Paul Bates is responsible for helping public sector employees throughout Georgia to understand their investment options, and assisting them in reaching their financial goals. With over 25 years of experience in the financial services field, Mr. Bates has demonstrated honesty and integrity in working with his clients. He also prides himself on his attention to detail. He holds the designation of Certified Retirement Counselor (CRC®), Chartered Retirement Planning Consultant (CRPC®), and Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®) and he takes part in continuing education to amplify his knowledge of an ever-changing industry. Before joining the ACCG Retirement Services team, Mr. Bates qualified for the national sales conference as a registered representative with Nationwide. Prior to that, he was commissioned in the US Army as a 2nd Lieutenant, during which time he completed a tour of duty in South Korea. Outside the office, Mr. Bates volunteers his time to work with adults in the Literacy Volunteers of America program. His hobbies include golfing, fishing, and football, and he considers himself a movie buff. He currently resides in Atlanta with his wife Julie and their two daughters, Marilyn and Nora. Mr. Bates earned a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a commission in the US Army from Towson University in Towson, MD. |

David Bell CRC® Regional Client Manager for Middle Georgia As a Regional Client Manager for ACCG Retirement Services, David is responsible for helping public sector employees throughout Middle Georgia to understand their investment options, and assisting them in reaching their financial goals. Before joining the ACCG Retirement Services team in 2017, Mr. Bell served as an educator and a coach for 14 years before beginning a career as a financial advisor in 2001. Mr. Bell enjoys working with his clients and assisting them in understanding their retirement plans and investment options. He takes part in continuing education to broaden his knowledge of an ever changing industry. Outside the office, Mr. Bell is an active member of his church and his hobbies include all sports and outdoor activities. His wife, Chris, is an elementary school teacher and they have one son. They reside in Walton County. Mr. Bell has a Bachelor of Science degree from Mercer University/Atlanta. |

With 20 years of experience as a registered representative, Mr. Gease prides himself on his honesty and directness with clients. Before joining the ACCG Retirement Services team, Mr. Gease gained experience in the field while working for Nationwide Retirement Solutions. Outside the office, Mr. Gease is married to Nicole and they have a son named Jaxson. Greg enjoys hobbies such as hunting, fishing, golf, cooking, and reading. He currently resides in Evans, GA. Mr. Gease earned two Bachelor of Science degrees from Ashland University in Ohio. |

Trey Johnson Regional Client Manager for Northeast Georgia As a Regional Client Manager for ACCG Retirement Services, Trey is responsible for helping public sector employees to understand their investment options, and assisting them in reaching their financial goals. Before joining the ACCG team in 2021, Mr. Johnson gained experience at 49 Financial, which is a comprehensive financial planning firm that helps clients reach their overall financial and retirement goals. He enjoys assisting clients with their financial goals and helping provide clarity surrounding retirement and will continue to advance his knowledge in the industry. He is Series 7 and Series 63 Licensed. Outside the office, Mr. Johnson enjoys all things sports, specifically the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Falcons, and Georgia Bulldogs. He also enjoys golf, fishing, and traveling. He lives in Athens, GA with his wife Mimi and their dogs. Mr. Johnson graduated from Georgia College & State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He majored in Management and minored in Finance. |

Jacques Jones Regional Client Manager for North Georgia As a Regional Client Manager for ACCG Retirement Services, Jacques Jones specializes in assisting public sector employees in Georgia to understand their investment options and achieve their financial goals. Jacques’s journey in the financial services industry began in 2015 when he joined New York Life and later became a registered representative with New York Life Securities in 2016. During his time there, he had the privilege of serving as the AARP representative for Long-Term Care and Annuities and providing guidance to clients in these areas. After leaving New York Life Securities, Jacques joined American Advisor Group first as an independent advisor, then as a licensed mortgage consultant. He is licensed in Series 6 and Series 63. Outside the office, Jacques finds joy playing golf and spending quality time with his beautiful daughter. He is a native of Gainesville Georgia. He actively participates in the men’s group at church, as well as engages in various volunteer activities within his community. Giving back and being part of a supportive community gives Jacques a sense of purpose. Jacques holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Georgia State University. Additionally, he has served as the Commissioner for East Point Planning and Zoning and volunteered as a member of the Smyrna Housing and Economic Committee. |

Before joining the ACCG Retirement Services team in 2018, Mr. Rowe served over 30 years in municipal government. He served over 11 years as Vice Chairman of the City of Albany Pension Board. Mr. Rowe holds the designation of Certified Retirement Counselor (CRC®) and he looks forward to working with his clients and assisting them in understanding their retirement plans and investment options. Outside the office, Mr. Rowe attends Byne Memorial Church in Albany, GA. His hobbies include golf and spending time with his family. His wife, Debra, works in healthcare marketing and they have two sons. They reside in Lee County. |

A veteran in the financial services field with over 25 years of experience, Ms. Swanson’s integrity, empathy, and keen listening skills have solidified her reputation as a trusted advisor. She carries the esteemed Certified Retirement Counselor (CRC®) designation and is an avid learner, persistently augmenting her knowledge to keep pace with the ever-evolving financial industry. Before joining ACCG Retirement Services in 2018, she held significant roles at several financial companies, including Bank of America/Merrill Lynch. These roles allowed her to amass a wealth of experience in both public and private sector financial planning, making her an invaluable asset to her clients. Away from her professional commitments, Ms. Swanson cherishes her time spent with her family. She enjoys the company of her husband Mike, a Fire Service Captain, and their two children, enriching her life beyond the financial world. |

Paul Smith Regional Client Manager for South Central Georgia As a registered representative with ACCG retirement services, Paul Smith works to understand public sector employee goals for retirement and helps to develop a strategy to reach those goals. Before his ACCG Retirement assignment in South Georgia region Mr. Smith had over 26 years of experience as a public sector employee. Past financial experience includes serving as a Trustee on the ACCG Defined Benefit Board of Trustees and as a Series 7 and 66 licensed Financial Advisor with Edward Jones. The retirement area of financial services is the one area that Mr. Smith really enjoys working public sector employees. Each employee’s situation is unique to them and developing that strategy is what motivates every interaction with public sector employees. Outside of work activities other than faith, family and friends include fishing, hunting, sports and exercise. His wife, Stephanie, works in the Healthcare field and daughter Ivy is a Fifth Grade Teacher so the passion for helping people runs in the family. |
